Section 1: Tobacco Products – Absolutely No Returns

ALL TOBACCO PRODUCTS ARE FINAL SALE. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Backwoods Canada does not accept returns, exchanges, or refunds on any tobacco products, including but not limited to:

  • Backwoods cigars (any flavor, any pack size)
  • Backwoods limited edition releases
  • Premium cigars from other brands
  • Any cigar product opened or unopened
  • Any cigar product with broken seals

Why?
For hygiene, safety, and legal compliance reasons, we cannot accept returns on tobacco products. Once a product leaves our facility, we cannot guarantee its condition, storage, or authenticity upon return.

What if my cigars arrive damaged?
See Section 6 below – Damaged in Transit.

What if I received the wrong product?
See Section 7 below – Incorrect Items.


Section 2: Smoke Accessories – 30-Day Returns

We accept returns on unused smoke accessories within 30 days of delivery.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for a return, accessories must meet ALL of these conditions:

Non-Returnable Accessories

The following accessories are FINAL SALE and cannot be returned:

  • Any item with smoke, herb, or tobacco residue
  • Any item with odor (cannot be resold)
  • Lighters that have been filled with fluid
  • Grinders that have been used
  • Glass products (due to hygiene)
  • Opened consumables (papers, filters, tips)
  • Custom or personalized items
  • Clearance items marked “Final Sale”

Restocking Fee

All authorized accessory returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee.

Return Shipping Costs

Customer is responsible for all return shipping costs. We recommend:

  • Using a trackable shipping method
  • Purchasing insurance for the full value
  • Retaining your tracking number

Backwoods Canada is not responsible for items lost or damaged during return transit.


Section 3: How to Initiate a Return

DO NOT SHIP ANY ITEMS WITHOUT PRIOR AUTHORIZATION.

Unauthorized shipments will be refused and returned at customer’s expense.

Processing Time

Authorized returns are processed within 5-7 business days of receipt. Refunds typically appear within 3-10 business days after processing, depending on your financial institution.

Non-Refundable Charges

The following charges are NON-REFUNDABLE in every instance:

  • Original shipping costs
  • Expedited shipping fees
  • Insurance fees
  • Credit card processing fees (if applicable)
  • Restocking fees (15%)
  • Return shipping costs

Store Credit

Store credit issued by Backwoods Canada is:

  • Non-transferable
  • Non-refundable for cash
  • Valid for 12 months from issue date
  • Redeemable online only using your unique code

How to Cancel

Email backwoodscanada@outlook.com immediately with:

  • Subject Line: “CANCEL ORDER #[Your Order Number]”
  • Your full name
  • Reason for cancellation

Note: Once an order is processed, it cannot be canceled. We pack orders quickly to ensure fast shipping. Act fast.

Refused Delivery

If you refuse delivery of a shipped order:

  • Return shipping costs will be deducted
  • 15% restocking fee applies
  • Balance refunded to original payment method
  • Original shipping fees are NON-REFUNDABLE

Section 6: Damaged in Transit

If your package arrives visibly damaged:

  1. DO NOT discard any packaging
  2. PHOTOGRAPH the box before opening
  3. PHOTOGRAPH damaged packaging from all angles
  4. PHOTOGRAPH damaged contents
  5. CONTACT US within 48 hours of delivery

  • Your name and order number
  • All photographs (attached)
  • Description of damage

What happens next?
We will review your claim and respond within 2 business days. Depending on the situation, we may:

  • Issue a replacement (if available)
  • Issue a partial refund
  • Issue a full refund
  • File a claim with the shipping carrier

Important:
Cigars are natural products. Some minor cracking or splitting can occur during shipping. This is normal and does not qualify for refund. Significant damage (crushed, completely broken, mold) qualifies.


Section 7: Incorrect Items

If you receive an item different from what you ordered:

  1. DO NOT use, open, or remove the item from packaging
  2. CONTACT US within 48 hours of delivery

  • Your name and order number
  • What you ordered
  • What you received
  • Clear photographs of the incorrect item

What happens next?
We will send you a prepaid return label. Once we receive the incorrect item, we will ship your correct order at no additional cost.

No restocking fee applies for our errors.


Section 8: Missing Items

If your order arrives missing components:

  1. CHECK THE PACKING SLIP – Some items may be listed separately
  2. CHECK YOUR EMAIL – Items sometimes ship in multiple packages
  3. CONTACT US within 7 days of delivery

We will investigate and ship missing items promptly.


Section 9: Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges.

If you need a different product:

  1. Return the original item (if eligible – see Section 2)
  2. Place a new order for the desired item

Return shipping and restocking fees apply to the original order.


Section 10: Gift Returns

Items received as gifts:

  • May be returned for store credit only
  • Original order number required (ask the gift-giver)
  • 15% restocking fee applies
  • Credit issued to recipient, not purchaser

Store credit valid for 12 months from issue date.


Section 11: Gift Cards

Gift card sales are FINAL. No refunds. No exceptions.

  • Non-refundable for cash
  • Non-transferable
  • Valid for 12 months from purchase date
  • Not replaceable if lost or stolen
  • Cannot be used to purchase additional gift cards

Section 12: Price Adjustments

No retroactive price adjustments.

We do not offer refunds for:

  • Items that go on sale after your purchase
  • Competitor pricing differences
  • Coupon codes you did not apply at checkout
  • Loyalty points not used

Section 13: International Orders

Backwoods Canada only ships within Canada.

International returns are not accepted. If you somehow placed an international order, contact us immediately.


Section 14: Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting us violates our terms.

Consequences of Chargebacks

If you file a chargeback without contacting us:

Section 17: Policy Acknowledgment

BY PLACING AN ORDER WITH BACKWOODS CANADA, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THIS REFUNDS AND RETURNS POLICY IN ITS ENTIRETY.

You agree that:

  • All cigar and tobacco sales are FINAL
  • Accessory returns are subject to 15% restocking fee
  • Original shipping fees are NON-REFUNDABLE
  • Return shipping costs are YOUR RESPONSIBILITY
  • Chargebacks without prior contact are a violation of our terms

We reserve the right to modify this Refunds and Returns Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this page. Your continued use of our Services following the posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of such changes.
